Selena's tragic death by shooting caused a reaction in the Latino community that was similar to reactions following the deaths of Elvis Presley or John Lennon. The most well-known Latino musician across North America, Selena's music has touched many lives across different cultures. Selena was a hot glamorous performer on stage that was frequently called the Latina Madonna.
